Your content stays yours. Period.
StudioLedger holds your photographs, your client list, and your financial history. Here is exactly what we collect, who can see it, and what we will never do with it.

The short version

- Revoke any third-party integration without leaving StudioLedger.
What we collect
Three kinds of information, and nothing beyond what the studio workflow actually needs.
Information in your workspace
- Account infoName, email, business name (optional), and a securely hashed password.
- Your contentPhotos, client info, contracts, invoices, notes, and deliverables.
- IntegrationsCalendar events and email metadata when you authorize a connection.
What we'll never do
Four promises
- We never train AI models with your content.
- We never sell or share data with advertisers.
- We never use your photos for promotional purposes.
- We never aggregate client data for profiling.
Data access
Access to your data is strictly limited to:
- You and your authorized team members
- Your clients (only when you explicitly share with them)
- StudioLedger support staff (only when necessary, with strict confidentiality)
Third-party services
We integrate with services like email/calendar providers, Zoom, Stripe, and cloud storage. Each maintains their own privacy obligations. We prohibit these third parties from using your data independently.
Data retention
Your content remains stored while your account is active. When you delete your account, personal data and uploads are permanently removed from our primary systems. Backup purges follow on a periodic schedule.
Security
While we implement robust security measures, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
StudioLedger is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Policy changes
We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes through the service.
SMS communications
StudioLedger may send you SMS text messages related to your business operations if you opt in to receive them.
Message types
- Invoice payment received
- Estimate approved
- Proof selections submitted
- Appointment reminders
SMS consent data
- Your phone number and SMS opt-in consent will never be sold, shared, or provided to third parties for marketing purposes.
- SMS consent data is used solely to send you transactional and reminder messages related to your StudioLedger business activity.
Important: All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your business activity. You may receive messages when invoices are sent, payments are received, estimates are ready, or payment reminders are due.
Opting out
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message
- Turning off SMS notifications in your workspace settings

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
